India rejects Pakistans absurd comments on Karachi terror attack – Times of India

NEW DELHI: India on Thursday strongly rejected Pakistan‘s “absurd ” comments claiming that New Delhi was behind a terrorist attack in Karachi.
External affairs ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said that the neighbouring country cannot shift the blame on India for its “domestic problems”.
Four heavily armed militants on Monday made an attempt to take over the Pakistan Stock Exchange building in Karachi, killing three security guards and a police officer before being shot dead by security forces.
Responding to questions, MEA’s Srivastava said, “We would ask Pakistan that they may wish to reflect on this and on their own government’s position including their PM’s description of a global terrorist as a martyr.”
On Monday, Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had claimed that India was behind the attack in Karachi.
The Balochistan Liberation Army linked Majeed Brigade had claimed responsibility for the attack. The group is banned in Pakistan, the UK and the US.
